Monidron

Infrastructure and civil works monitoring system and method

The Monidron system is an innovative, effective monitoring technique, designed to detect structural problems in bridges, road and railway viaducts, tunnels and landslides, using a system consisting in a fixed control station and a specifically-equipped aerial unit.

The system is based on the survey of linear movements on the three geodetic axes of the different sections of a structure. Measurements are made by photogrammetric scanning, with tolerance limited to a few millimetres, using a system of passive tags installed on the monitored structures and univocally recognizable at the operating heights.

Advantages include:

Easy and rapid installation
Independence from civil works
Adaptable to different geometries
Quick replacement of elements
High reliability
Low cost of installation
Reduced maintenance costs
New generation technology
Low power consumption
